Sniper Resources

ReHot Project

The 16 claims of the ReHot group distal-disseminated prospect area are located in Township 38 North, Range 40 East of the Hot Springs Range in Humboldt County, Nevada. They are situated about three miles east of the Dutch Flat area, a historic placer gold occurrence, and about 8 miles west of the now closed Pinson Mine which itself is a short distance south of Barrick Gold's Getchell and Turquoise Ridge operation. Pinson produced about a million ounces from a combined heap leach and c.i.p. mill and has recently been found to host a sizable, likely underground-minable, additional resource.

The geological concept to be tested at the ReHot project is that the outcropping belt of intensely fractured and quartz-veined exposures of Ordovician Valmy Formation here may be in a similar structural and mineralizing setting at the ReHot claims with regard to gold-bearing intrusive rocks known to occur to the west in the Dutch Flat area, as is known to be the case for the Valmy with respect to the auriferous intrusives in the Battle Mountain area. The Valmy Formation hosts several million ounces at the distal-disseminated deposits of Glamis' Marigold Mine and Newmont's Lone Tree-Stonehouse, Trenton Canyon, and Valmy operations. Moreover, the Roberts Mountains thrust fault and still more chemically favorable formations may be present beneath the Valmy lithologies to be tested, as is the case at most of the classic Carlin-type deposits.
