Pete's Summit Project

Sniper's Vice President, Exploration, Doug McGibbon and Rich Radez, Director, in one area of historic tungsten production at Linka, discussing geology and exploration planned for the properties. Linka has both gold and tungsten potential, with Sniper's main interest being the gold, while Pete's Summit is strictly a gold target.

The Pete's Summit project is also primarily a Carlin-type prospect. The 68 claims that comprise the project belong to Columbus and are situated in Township 17 North, Range 46 East, in Lander County, Nevada. Forty additional claims of the Linka area that we consider part of the Pete's Summit project are described separately below.

At the Pete's Summit project area the Devonian-Silurian Roberts Mountains Formation is overlain structurally by Devonian Vinini Formation chert, which was emplaced by the Roberts Mountains thrust fault. Both the formations are overlain locally by Tertiary Tuff. In addition to the Roberts Mountains target, there is also the possibility of an underlying Hanson Creek Formation (host rocks at Queenstake's Jerritt Canyon operations) target at moderate depth.

Good indicator element sample values have been obtained in several areas on the property, including particular along a felsic dike of uncertain age that trends NNW. This is an important feeder structure orientation farther to the north in the Battle Mountain area. Large areas of exposed, very favorable Roberts Mountains Formation (host at many of the larger Carlin-type deposits) still have not yet been sampled geochemically, and only one drill hole is known to have been drilled on the claim block.
