The Guild project is located in Nye County, Nevada in Townships 4 and 5 North, Ranges 49½ and 50 East. Guild is situated a few miles north of Warm Springs. The project comprises 118 claims, including 74 lode claims owned by Columbus Gold Corporation and 44 claims located at what are now the northern and southern ends of the project that are owned by Gold Standard Royalty Corporation. The property is on BLM-managed lands near military facilities, and is ready to drill, with a Notice of Operations approved by the BLM and reclamation bonding in place.
Excellent host rock candidates for Carlin-type mineralization crop out at the northern and southern ends of the Guild project. Silicified Ordovician rocks of the Pogonip Group (Antelope Valley Limestone and Ninemile Formation), as well as possible Devonian-Silurian dolomite and Roberts Mountains Formation (which typically make large tonnages where it is mineralized at other properties such as Pipeline and on the Carlin Trend so its presence along with evidence of boiling and strong silicification at the south end of Guild is encouraging in that regard) are structurally overlain above the Roberts Mountains thrust fault by the Devonian Slaven Chert and capped by overlap sequence Mississippian limestone and Webb Formation (host rocks at Newmont's Rain deposit among others) which are locally strongly silicified to jasperoid.
Carlin-type mineralization is the target at Guild, with gold values found at both the northern and southern ends of the property. Good ore-grade Au values have been encountered in surface samples from both the north and south ends of the property, but previous drilling has been somewhat discouraging. Importantly, the intervening area, which is masked by a thin veneer of Tertiary volcanic rocks has yet to be tested by drilling and provides exciting possibilities with apparent structural trends revealed by geochemistry that would link the north and south occurrences. After CSAMT and Gravity surveys were conducted by Sniper, a Notice of Operations for a first round drill program of 24 holes was submitted to BLM and approval has been received.
